Writing Books and Talking Books
Not only am I busy writing Book 3 in my Eva St.Claire Mystery Series, Lying Lanier, but I am also co-host of the new podcast, The Talking Book Podcast.
My author friend, Perrie Patterson and I host a 30 minute podcast, once a month where we feature a different Indie Author, as well as interview guests live via Instagram and stream live on our Facebook Page, The Talking Book Podcast.
We tend to get sidetracked now and then throughout the show and discuss what we are currently reading, as well. The two of us have a wide range of genres that we read, some are the same, some are total opposite from one another. Getting off topic can be a hazard to the show, too, but it makes for a fun and interesting listen. I mean, you put two women together, both authors and add wine into the mix and you never know what you might get.
February 16th's show will be no different. We have quite the line up. Author Victoria Zak will be our Featured Author of the month. Victoria is an International Best Selling Author of Magical Romance with no limits. Some of her books take place in Scotland. Those would be her Guardians of Scotland Series. She also writes Contemporary Romance, such as her Gracefall: Vicious Love Tour Series.
You can find Victoria at www.victoriazakromance.com or on Facebook @VictoriaZakAuthor and on Instagram @victoriazakromance.
Our other guest on our February 16th show will be Chris Ryan, aka dude.reads.romance.and.horror. Chris is not an author, but is an avid reader of so many different genres, but particularly romance is what had me curious. Not many men read romance novels and I want to get his take on that. I will be interviewing him live via Instagram. Chris also has his own YouTube Channel @Dude Reads Romance where he will be starting a book review show. He will give his reviews on not just romance novels, but all genres; Indie and Traditionally published. We are really looking forward to him starting that.
Now, as far as my writing, I have been working on a few different projects, the main one being Book 3 in my Eva St. Claire Series, Lying Lanier. I am also working on a psychological thriller, that I had started back in 2015, but never finished. Life got in the way of that one and I never went back to finish it. I will, however finish it in the next year for sure. Book 4 in my Eva St. Claire series is already forming in my head, too. You just can't stop these things from happening and then the next thing you know, you've got another document started at the top of that laptop, looming in front of you. I probably have four different documents that stare at me everyday, all vying for that top position. I make myself go to the one that really needs finished first, which is Lying Lanier. You can expect that to release at the beginning of June, 2022.
So as I finish up this blog post, mark your calendars for February 16, 2022, to check out "The Talking Book Podcast", either on our Instagram feed, which is through Perrie's page @always.n.style, or our Facebook page, where I will be live streaming @TheTalkingBookPodcast. If you can't catch it live, it will show up on both pages, as well as in audio format on Spotify and Anchor. Look for our particular logo, that is shown above, on Spotify and Anchor, as there are other shows with similar names.
We will be doing our February show live from John's Creek Books and Gifts, so if you are in the area, you may want to pop in and see us. We will have giveaways and maybe some other surprises, you just never know. The time for the show has yet to be determined, but as soon as we know, we will post it on our social media pages. My Instagram is @m.k.stableyauthor, my author page on Facebook is @authormkstabley, our Facebook podcast page is @TheTalkingBookPodcast. Perrie's pages are @always.n.style - Instagram, her Facebook is @Perrie Patterson Author and her website www.perriepatterson.com
Looking forward to the next time, but until then, keep reading and give us listen.
