The Best is Yet to Come

Wow, so much is happening in 2022. Writing, podcasting, moving, book events, a wedding and a graduation.

Writing two books, doing a podcast once a month, all while trying to pack one house and unpack a new house, and still do daily activities can make for a crazy life, but I wouldn't want it any other way.

I am still on track to release the two books I've been working on, this summer, but the release dates will more than likely be at end of July, or the beginning of August, which I am fine with.

As you can see from the above banner, my The Talking Book Podcast co-host Perrie Patterson and I, along with John's Creek Books and Gifts will be sponsoring a book event in August. Book-N-Bites will be held Thursday, August 18th at 7pm at The Atlanta National Golf Club in Milton, GA. We will have NYT Best Selling Author, Karen White as the main speaker for the event, as well as six or seven other authors doing signings. There will be light bites, as well as a cash bar. Perrie and I will be signing and selling our books, too and probably plugging our podcast. More information on this event will be coming. I will be making a flyer for the event that will list the authors and their works, soon.

You will be be able to get tickets via Eventbrite and at John's Creek Books and Gifts. A date will be given soon, as to when tickets will go on sale. Stay tuned to my website, and social media for updates.

The Talking Book Podcast will be taking June and July off, but we have August, September and October's shows booked out already, so we will be looking forward to getting back at it. Perrie and I both will be concentrating on writing, as well as taking vacation.

Now that the new house is unpacked, I have started writing again, and it is going as slow as I thought it would, but at least I'm writing, and that's all that matters.

I hope you all have some fun plans for the summer, now that everything is a bit more normal than it has been. We will be visiting family in Ohio and Pennsylvania in July. I'm looking forward to seeing my son. He only has one more semester of college at The Ohio State University, where he will graduate in December, with a Bachelors degree from Ohio State's Fisher School of Business, with his focus being Accounting and a minor in History. To say I am a proud Mom, is an understatement. I believe there will be a trip around December as a graduation present to him, (depending on his job situation) so that is something to look forward to.

I will also be traveling North again, in October, for a wedding. My niece is getting married and I couldn't be happier for her.

Everything going on thus far, is all good things. We must remember the good things in life and edit out the bad. Bad memories or bad days have no place in our head or heart. There is nothing you can do to change them, they happen, but the good thing about them is, you don't have to live in them. Pull all of those good days and good memories out, when a bad one sneaks in.

Until next time, keep reading, keep dreaming and keep your head held high. Much Love... M.K.
