Books On Repeat

Do you ever have those few books that you can read over and over again, and they never get old? Yeah, me too.
For example, I can read and re-read a lot of my Janet Evanovich books. Her Stephanie Plum Series, the Lizzy and Diesel trilogy and even her earlier books, like her Full Series and the stand alone, Love Overboard are just a few of my favorites.
Janet's writing is pure fun, with some of the best characters. The men are fun, sarcastic and incredibly hot, while the women are stubborn, strong and resilient. She is such a big influence to me and my writing. If you haven't read any of her books, you really should try them. They will not disappoint. Below is a link to her website, so you can see all the books she has to offer.

Now, Lori Foster and her Men Who Walk the Edge of Honor Series is another set of books that I can read over and over again and then read... again. Her writing is edgy, intriguing and pretty steamy. You really can't help but fall head over heels in lust for those men and their kick-ass ways, as well as their protective tendencies that seem to drive the women in their lives a little bananas, at times.
FYI, these are not her only books, she has several others available. I've read other books by Lori and they have all been really good. The ones above are just a few of my favorites. Below is a link to her her website, I would definitely go check her out, if I were you.

Charlaine Harris is probably another author whose books I can repeat read time and time again. Of course, her Sookie Stackhouse Series which was the influence for the popular HBO show True Blood, is a fun series. If you love all things supernatural, including telepaths, vampires, werewolves, goblins and fairies then you'll love this series of tales set in multiple parts of Louisiana. They are a mix of paranormal, romance and even mystery, all wrapped into one book. But...she also has another series that I really enjoyed and have read multiple times, and that is her Lily Bard Mystery Series. A couple of the characters from this series show up in her Sookie Stackhouse books as well.
Charlaine definitely writes female characters who overcome tragedies and obstacles and become strong, kick-butt heroines.

Author, Calle J. Brookes, writer of the PAVAD: FBI Romantic Suspense Series is a real favorite of mine, too. Yes, I have read every one of these books many times over. They take my love for all things investigation mysteries and she adds a chance at love, then rolls them into some awesome reads. They can get truly emotional at times, but that's how good they are. If I find myself tearing up while reading, that means she took me to that exact place and time and I'm watching it all unfold in real-time. That's good stuff right there. And her male characters are pretty amazing to mentally visualize, too. So there's that...
She not only has this series though, she has multiple series that stem from these, that are pretty compelling to read, too. Below you can click the link to her website and find out a little more about her and her books that she has available.
These women are just a few of the authors that got me really into reading; so much so that my poor husband has to look at me while we're watching TV at night, and I have a book in my hand, or if we are already in bed, he has to try to sleep while I have my kindle in my hand, on the lowest back-light setting, so I can read what I have on there. God Bless him.
I became a writer myself, because of the influence these ladies have had on me. So, I thank them.
Until next time... You can't buy Happiness, but you can buy Books, and that's kind of the same thing.
